MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. In 2017, he dropped ADN, his first long-player to La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album reached number 8 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was a Top Five hit for Ozuna and Ozuna the year after. He also collaborated on a track with Noriel to record Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and the following year released his sophomore album the charting Dopamina. Later in 2021 he performed an duet with TINI's streaming smash track Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo came from a family of musicians his mother and older brother have been musicians. According to him, music was a fundamental part of his life. When he was a kid, he began learning to play ukulele, saxophone and piano. Although his first choice of career was becoming a vet, his brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in singing classes with a Cuban teacher and the end outcome of discovering his talents as a singer altered his entire life.
